Following a spate of attacks on GOP politicians, Republicans are calling on the Democratic Party to condemn the violence.
Maryland’s only Republican congressman, Rep. Andy Harris, was attacked in his congressional office Tuesday by liberals who oppose his stance of anti recreational marijuana.
“They attempted to shove open a private door, throwing their shoulders into it and injuring my wrist in the process (thank goodness not seriously). Some from the crowd were arrested. Also thankfully, my staff and innocent bystanders weren’t injured. But it could have been much worse,” Harris wrote in a Wall Street Journal op-ed.
The line was crossed weeks ago. It was crossed when Sarah Huckabee Sanders was kicked out of the Red Hen restaurant when Kirstjen Nielsen was confronted during her dinner, when Rand Paul was assaulted and when Ted Cruz was harassed at a restaurant.
