The Women’s March made an embarrassing and revealing error when it released a statement strongly condemning President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee.

Trump announced his pick of Brett Kavanaugh on Monday night, but the Women’s March referred to Trump’s nominee as “XX,” revealing the leftist organization had pre-condemned the nominee before knowing who he was.

“In response to Donald Trump’s nomination of XX to the Supreme Court of the United States,” the Women’s March email began.

Twitter was quick to pick up on the error.

When you pre-write your press release slamming Trump’s SCOTUS pick but forget to add the name….

Of course, Twitter had some fun with the error.

“XX is the worst,” journalist Salena Zito joked in a tweet.

Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer joined in on the fun, retweeting Zito and adding this:

Agreed. Good thing he didn’t go with XX

“A number of our Democratic colleagues could not even wait until the president’s announcement last night before launching attacks on his nominee,” Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said on the Senate floor Tuesday. “This was, in some cases quite literally, a fill-in-the-blank opposition. They wrote statements of opposition only to fill in the name later.”

The Women’s March doesn’t seem to have cared much about who the nominee is, just who the nominator is. And that’s a shame.

Oddly enough, the mission statement of the Women’s March is to “harness the political power of diverse women,” but based on their un-copyedited statement, it is clear diversity in their mind does not apply to political thought.
